Project

Stonequarry Road Widening and Hump Removal

Bulter Township, Montgomery County, Ohio

The project involved one mile of narrow, hilly, rural road.  Due to increased development and proximity to the Dayton International Airport, the road needed widening and the humps removed.  There was considerable coordination with the County Engineer and the residents.  Public presentations were made and questions addressed, individually, with each resident.  Driveway sections were impacted and all of the revised profiles were addressed.  The road was widened by a foot on each side with a two foot paved berm along with associated drainage issues.  The alignment was also coordinated with a project that was being performed at one end of the design limits.
