Project

Spring Valley Waterline Extension

Greene County Sanitary Engineer

Xenia, Ohio

The project initially involved performing a KYPIPE analysis and system study to determine the necessary waterline size and available flows and pressures needed to serve the project area.  It helped determine the potential need for elevated storage and booster pumping.  The study encompassed an area beyond the immediate design limits so future system expansion could be readily accommodated.  This project will receive water from the new Green County southerly wellfield.  After the study was performed the waterline was designed involving approximately two miles of waterline,  a river crossing and right of way acquisition.  Also an engineer's opinion of probable cost and PTI were prepared.  Coordination with OEPA and the Miami Conservancy District were necessary.
