The
project originally involved over 20,000' of storm sewer, some as large as
45". The estimated construction cost of this project was over
$900,000. The Issue II funding fell short and the Township received
only $250,000. Rather than decline the monies, the drawings were
phased and revised Phase I was constructed.
The
waterline in the project area is transite and the area involved is
extremely flat. These issues created some very serious design and
construction problems, which were overcome by everyone involved
cooperating. One thousand feet of 48" ADS, N-12 pipe was used
in this project and was the longest run of this size pipe that the
manufacturer had installed.
Therefore
the Township received the benefit of some additional attention. The
construction went relatively well and the system is functioning as
designed. JWCI performed the route selection, flow calculations,
design and some construction administration. |
